Windows 10 Upgrade, from Windows 7 Pro


This is Toshiba Satellite L305D, that was running Windows 7 Pro. I was on the Internet and I got a popup message, that said,'upgrade to Windows 10, for free'; so I installed it on the computer; in 2016.




The Windows 10 installation was from a start CD disk; with Windows Home-Pro. The original operating system was Windows 7 Pro (32 bit) version.

1. I Connected to Internet. I started the Windows 10 install around 12:18pm, and I completed the installation at 2:30pm.

2. Inserted - Win 10 CD disk (clicked accept). [get ready message]

3. Win 10 installing 100%, then clicked (check for updates).

4. License terms (clicked accept). [making sure ready to install] [Install Windows 10 Home] [Keep all files and apps]

5. Ready to Install (clicked install) [Installing Windows 10] [your PC will start several times -__ % complete /100% complete and 'restarted'] [Upgrading Windows __%] [copying files] [Installing Features and drivers] [Configuring Settings]

6. Welcome To Windows 10 -'after about an hour'. Enter Password (typed password)

7. Customize Settings -'get going fast'. (clicked use Express Settings)

8. Meet Cortana. (clicked Use Cortana)

9. New Apps for the Windows. (clicked next) [Finalizing Settings] [Hi] [We Updated your PC] [All your Files are Exactly where you left them] [we've got some new features to get excited about] [don't turn off your PC] [We've made some Tweaks to make Windows even better] {We'll be ready soon] (completed) - Windows 10 installed.
